Mandatory Health Insurance Enrollment
All international students are required to enroll in health insurance for the entire duration of their stay in Korea. The following types of insurance are recognized by SWU:
- Overseas insurance plans that can be used in Korea (Private insurance covering medical expenses caused by accidents or illness)
- National Health Insurance
- International Student Group Insurance
International Student Group Insurance Information
Group insurance enrollment is conducted every March and September based on student demand.
- Coverage:
- Hospitalization expenses for injuries and illnesses
- Outpatient medical expenses
- Prescription medication expenses
- How to Enroll (new enrollment & renewal): Visit the International Affairs Team and pay the insurance fee.
Insurance Claim Information
Students enrolled in the international student group insurance provided by the university may visit the International Student Support Center office to claim insurance benefits within the insurance coverage period.
